Following on from my dissertation, I came up with a project to promote the epigraphic heritage of the town of La Souterraine, in France, by inviting local people to rediscover their area through a focus on the remnants of the lettering painted on the town's walls. My aim was to make local people aware of the wealth of epigraphy and the potential for identity represented by the lettering around them.

So I imagined a project in 2 steps : firstly, a guided tour to discover and observe the different styles and periods of lettering. Secondly, a workshop to create postcards of the city using the letters, words and symbols I'd found on the guided tour, as raw materials in the form of stamps.

To realise my project for real, I collaborated with La maison d'à côté , a third place of the city, to have participants and a place available to realise out the workshop.
